A testimony from my nephew whom I pointed to D3 and K2 and your book:
Uncle D.-
I asked mom to let you know, but I guess I could have done so myself.
My A1c was 18.3 May 17th, and it was 6.5 August 15th.
During my August 15th visit, the doctor asked about my diet, and I told her I had only “cheated” twice, by having about 4 oz. of Coca-cola when my blood sugar was 41, and another time I had a Hershey’s miniature that was handy when my blood sugar was 40.
She wrote in the office notes, “obese 55 year old male states he is non-compliant with a diabetic diet.”
In essence she says I am non-compliant and then reads my lab work and says I have the largest drop in A1c in 3 months she has ever seen (again, the caveat being her short career).
I am in the middle of switching doctors, but I am hopeful that the Diabetes Mellitus will have essentially gone away in another 3 months.
The doctor has already reduced my insulin from 50 units of the once-a-day long lasting insulin to 45, to 40, and now 25, and the 3 times a day fast acting insulin from 15 units to 10 units.
My Vit D went from 69 on June 13th to 183 on August 15th…
(She didn’t say a word about this).
I have been taking 50,000 units, so since Tuesday I have backed down to 40,000 units.
My calcium is still within normal guidelines. It was 9.7 on May 17th, and it was 10.0 on August 15th.
Thank you for your insight, experience, guidance, etc.
B.
