Case Study #9 – A Doctor Cures His Psoriasis with Vitamin D3!

vitamin D cures psoriasis
$15,000 – $20,000 per year

Watch almost any television/cable channel today and you will be bombarded with commercials for drugs that all claim to do the same thing – lower the chances of you getting a psoriasis outbreak. How much are we talking about? How about $15,000 to $20,000 a year for “biologics” such as –

  • Adalimumab (Humira)
  • Brodalumab (Siliq)
  • Etanercept (Enbrel)
  • Golimumab (Simponi)
  • Infliximab (Remicade)
  • Ixekizumab (Taltz)
  • Secukinumab (Cosentyx)
  • Ustekinumab (Stelara)

Oh yeah, and there might be some side effects such as –

  • Infection
  • Reactivation of TB or another dormant infection, such as hepatitis B or C
  • Cancer, such as lymphoma or skin cancer
  • Neurologic diseases
  • Autoimmune reactions, such as lupus or vasculitis

What if I told you there is a treatment that costs maybe less than $50 a year? A treatment that cures psoriasis completely, with virtually no side effects if you are just minimally careful about its use? Yes, once again, the high-dose Vitamin D3 and K2 therapy.

Before we go on, let me share with you one testimonial from a doctor who has tried all the psoriasis drugs for years with no benefit. Here is his story:

5.0 out of 5 stars Cured My Incurable Psoriasis with 50,000/day in 2 months!! June 12, 2012

By Don Carroll

This is the most helpful book of the century. Jeff is a genius out-of-the-box thinker to come up with this. He researches thousands of studies on D3 to find out the great benefits with almost zero side effects. Then he uses himself as an experiment to find the right dosage. The studies show almost every disease is eliminated with large-dose D3 because it is a hormone naturally made in the body from the sun.

I just got back my lab results from using 50,000 units of D-3 with Vitamin K-2 MenaQ7 (Metabolic Maintenance) daily for 2 months. My test showed 150 ng/mL, this is in the high range of what most authorities say it should be but I hate to reduce it. Just four months ago I had the worst Psoriasis you could imagine covering my body. None of the drugs helped. I could only sleep on my stomach I felt like Job from the Bible. My research found almost nothing that would help it.

I started on a mostly raw vegan, gluten-free diet with super foods and super herbs and no sugar and some cultured vegetables. I then began to take the D-3. I now feel so good and have had so many good results besides the disappearance of the Psoriasis. I sleep like a baby, my ganglion cysts are disappearing, my previously injured thumb is remodeling, my skin is not as dry, my prostate healed, restless leg gone, and I could go on and on. I feel totally on top of the world. If you have an ailment especially an incurable one read this book.

What is Psoriasis?

psoriasis - Vitamin D

Supposedly it is incurable (the medical community’s favorite kind of disease).

Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune condition that develops when the body’s skin production process speeds up. This results to the build-up of skin cells at a rapid rate. Typically, skin cell production takes weeks but in people with psoriasis, it only takes days. These extra cells then pile up on the surface of the skin forming itchy scales and red patches.

Types

Psoriasis has several types:

  • Pustular psoriasis – common in adults, localized to small areas of the body (feet, hands, fingertips), can also be widespread.
  • Guttate psoriasis – common in childhood, affects the scalp, torso and extremities (arms, legs).
  • Plaque psoriasis – most common type, found in elbows, knees, and soft tissue inside the mouth.
  • Inverse psoriasis – develops in the groin, under armpits and breasts, and in genital skinfolds.
  • Erythrodermic psoriasis – very rare, affects large section of the body.

Cause

Decades of research have attributed the following two key factors as to the cause of psoriasis:

Genetics

  • People inherit genes that make them more likely to develop the skin condition. Having a family member with psoriasis increases the risk of developing it. However, not everyone that inherits the genes will develop psoriasis.

Immune system

  • Psoriasis is classified as an autoimmune condition. Autoimmune diseases occur when the body attacks itself. The body’s white blood cells, called T cells, attack the skin cells by mistake causing the skin production to go overdrive.

Treatment options:

Topical treatment

  • There are ointments and creams that can be applied to the skin to help reduce mild to moderate psoriasis.

Systemic medications

  • Oral or injected medications may be given to individuals with moderate to severe psoriasis. As side effects may occur, these medications are usually prescribed for a short duration.

Light exposure

  • The historic treatment of choice, phototherapy in the form of sunlight has long been used for psoriasis. Wavelengths of 311–313 nanometers are most effective, and special lamps have been developed for this application. The exposure time should be controlled to avoid over-exposure and burning of the skin. The UVB lamps should have a timer that will turn off the lamp when the time ends. The amount of light used is determined by a person’s skin type. Increased rates of cancer from treatment appear to be small. Narrow band UVB light (NBUVB) phototherapy has been demonstrated to have similar efficacy to PUVA.
  • What does exposure to UVB light do? It causes your skin to produce activated vitamin D3! So why not try high-dose Vitamin D3 therapy to treat psoriasis rather than all these dangerous and ridiculously priced drugs? Because there is no profit in it! The dermatologists think that if you shine the UV light on the affected areas somehow it lessens the symptom of psoriasis. But I predict if you shine it on the unaffected skin you will get the same effect, why? Because either way, it is causing an increase in the amount of vitamin D3 in one’s system.

Cost

The annual cost for treating psoriasis in the US is estimated to be as high as $32.5 billion, including $12.2 billion in direct costs. Pharmacy costs are the main source of direct expense, with biologic therapy the most prevalent. These costs increase significantly when co-morbid conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, lung disease and psychiatric disorders are factored in. Expenses linked to co-morbidities are estimated at an additional $23,000 per patient per year.

Other interesting facts

About 7.4 million adults or about 3% of the adult population in the US have psoriasis. This is a huge industry, generating lots of profits for Big Pharma and their pill-pushing MD salesmen.

Also, the incidence of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, two types of inflammatory bowel disease, is 3.8 to 7.5 times greater in psoriasis patients than in the general population. The prevalence of depression in patients with psoriasis may be as high as 50 percent.

These facts of Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis, and depression being so much higher in psoriasis patients than in controls are important, why? Because as I have indicated in my other articles and in my book, and confirmed by D3 users, they can all be eliminated with high-dose Vitamin D3 therapy!!

Okay, enough of this; let’s see what a few other psoriasis sufferers have to say after taking high-dose D3 /K2 therapy. We only need to consult the High-Dose Vitamin D3 Case Study Search Engine, and type in the search term “psoriasis”.

5.0 out of 5 stars Miraculous is Right!!!

I ordered this book on kindle after reading a review about how the reviewer’s incurable psoriasis was cured. I have been suffering from guttate psoriasis for over 30 years. I was a little skeptical. I’ve been to many dermatologists and tried almost all that they had to offer, but I refused to go the biologic immune suppressant route. I’ve tried all sorts of vitamins, herbs and home remedies. Some helped a little, but nothing ever put it into total remission. I have been taking vitamin D3 for years, orally, topically and by tanning. One of my doctors checked my blood levels once and commented on how high it was. So I really did not think that info from this book would make a difference. Boy was I wrong!! I upped my dose of D3 to 20,000 IU per day and began taking vitamin k2, (which I had never heard of). Within four days there was a great improvement. (I have pics if anyone wants to view them). Within six weeks…totally 100% gone!!!

I’ve also noticed a few other improvements. My eyes aren’t perpetually bloodshot anymore, my face looks younger, the smile lines are not as deep, my skin is softer, and a couple of old zits that hardened and became a permanent feature on my face is softening and will hopefully go away for good.

I’m feeling some aches and pains in some of my previously injured and healed joints, so hopefully that is the remodeling process that Jeff speaks of. One big thing I’ve noticed, that surprisingly, Jeff didn’t even mention is that either mosquitos aren’t biting me anymore, or my body isn’t reacting with the swelling and itchiness anymore. They still land on me, but I have not had any signs of being bitten yet this year! And I was a mosquito magnet!!

About the book, I loved Jeff’s style of writing. It’s like reading an email from a friend with great news. You can just sense his excitement! It’s definitely contagious! I love that he jumps from point to point as it definitely makes you want to read the whole book. Otherwise, I would have probably only read key chapters. The only downside is that when you want to go back to re-read something, it can be hard to find. This is especially true for me since I accidentally ran my kindle over with my bus and must resort to reading it on my iPhone app. I’ll get another one someday.

But anyway, this book is awesome and ahead of its time. My son is a third year medical student and he hasn’t learned hardly anything about vitamins and natural treatments. So if you are looking for encouragement from your doctor, you probably won’t get it. Doctors learn about studies funded by drug companies. They won’t find a study on a treatment that they can’t make money from. Medical students sometimes do their own studies and publish their findings, but chances are that it won’t make headlines.

Thank you Jeff Bowles for writing this and making it so affordable! I still cannot believe that my psoriasis is gone!!! Yay!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am very glad that I bought it. I think Mr. Bowles went to a lot of effort and research to get this information out. He gives his own testimony and provides other testimonials too. In addition to learning about vitamin D3, I also learned a lot about vitamin K2, and how beneficial it is to take these two together. Since following the book’s philosophy for only four days, I notice my ankles are back to their smaller normal size. A family member has type 1 diabetes; I wonder if anyone with this condition has improved on D3 and K2 supplementation. I have always thought that natural therapies are desirable, as they usually have little or no side effects. Thank you for the great book, Jeff. Look forward to more research and new developments! May God bless you.

The writer does have an unusual style but the information imparted is very easy to understand as well as extremely valuable. To casually throw around your irresponsible accusations is in bad taste. I had been taking 10,000 IU of D3 daily for several years. After I read the book, I increased it to 30,000 IU daily. For the past two weeks I have been taking 40,000 IU daily. For many years I have had a small quarter-sized psoriasis rash about two inches below my left elbow. After taking these higher doses of the D3 for over a month it has almost entirely disappeared. I can assure you this is not a fake.

excellent information

I had read much information throughout the internet regarding D3, this is the 2nd book I’ve bought on the subject. My husband was plagued with psoriasis since he was 20 (he’s now 44). I started giving him D3 only 10,000 IU daily and within months’ time his skin was clearing up. I increased the dosage to 15,000 IU daily and within another month his psoriasis cleared almost completely. He still has 2 spots on his back and after reading this book I feel more confident to increase the D3 to 30,000 IU since he is a big man. What I’ve learned from this book was about the vitamin K, which I will be purchasing to add with the D3 dosing, I had not known to add this vitamin until reading this book.

Skin condition of 10 years cured

This book is one of many examples that we NEED more than 400 IU of vitamin D. It gives a little bit of history of how we got into this mess of thinking that little bit was ok. We learn how to safely megadose too. My Seborrheic dermatitis, cerebral dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis went away when I spent a month in the desert training with my unit, barely bathing, which made no sense to me until I read this. I megadosed and got a lot of summer sun and it went away. We ran out of K2 so I stopped using it, the D too, but it’s barely come back. It’s hereditary, but it only showed up when I started growing up and stopped playing outside in the sun. I know that once I change my diet over to a Markus Rothkranz style AND keep using the vitamin D of at least 20,000 IU. or higher it will stay gone. One person in the book took 2 months to get rid of their condition. I megadosed starting at 10 or 20,000 adding 10,000 each day until I reached 100,000, which is where I stayed until we ran out of K2. My condition was gone in about 2 weeks. Not everyone may be able to go as quickly as I did though. I have done many deep cleanses of my body and I’m a vegetarian. Someone might get herx syndrome, but maybe not, it is just vitamin D. Don’t kill yourself with a treatment, but don’t be afraid to do stuff like this either. Do some research so you won’t have to be afraid. This book is an important addition to the things I use to keep my wife, friends, and parents healthy. Let me add you can eat total crap and this will still help you. I’ve been eating lots of junk food like fruit loops and french fries. I still barely have any flaking even though I haven’t taken the D or K2 in about a month now. Any questions [email protected] is my personal email.

psoriasis - Vitamin D

Conclusion

So that’s it…it is time for people to start taking control of their own health and seeing the Big Pharma scam for what it is. It is time for doctors to start saying no to the free trips, dinners, expensive wines, and all the perks offered by Big Pharma’s drug salesmen. Now is the time for doctors to start doing what’s right for their patients and start their own clinical studies to treat psoriasis cheaply and safely with high-dose vitamin D3/K2.

And finally, if you plan on performing your own high dose Vitamin D3/Vitamin K2 experiment  to treat your psoriasis  or other condition. You might want to consider buying bulk powder vitamins/hormones  rather than pills given the high doses involved  and the high cost of pills. For example Vitamin K2  can cost  $6,500 per gram if you buy Dr. Mercola’s pills, 30X the cost of gold!! If you buy pure bulk K2 powder  you can get it for just $15 per gram. It’s not just BigPharma who is ripping us off! Find out more from this article>>>>

  1. What dosage should u take because if been on vit d for a while now and not helped in the slightest

    1. Hello Deyna

The dosage is based on your weight….The doctor who cured his psoriasis weighed about 160 pounds and was taking 50,000 IU per day for several months. You also want to take Vitamin K2 because the only slight danger of high dose Vitamin D3 is excess calcium in your blood due to remodeling processes- this cold lead to a kidney stone-painful but no dangerous . The calcium can be captured and returned to your bones if you take Vitamin K2 to replace the K2 used up by the high dose D3. The K2 recharges the osteocalcin hormone that direncts calcium into or out of your bones depending on its K2 status….Taking magnesium is also a good idea because it is intimately involved in Vitamin D3 regulation. In the rare cases that D3 does not work for people it is almost always due to an underlying magnesium deficiency. So if you are going to test your blood, to get the remodeling process going you need a blood level betwen 125 to 150 ng/ml (below 100 will not do anything) which on the UK scale (mutliply by 2.5) is 312 to 375 nmol/L. Most doctors will tell you this is crazy because he/she does not know any better….But read the story by this doctor about his psoriasis he got his blood level to 150 ng/ml and keeps it there all the time now…..In the US the norma reference range is 30 to 100 ng.ml but summer lifeguards often have d3 levels of 125 or so because of all the sun making d3 in their skin,,,,In a study they found Israeli lifeguards have a much higher incidence of kidney stones than the general public (because they didnt supplement with k2)….

  2. Can someone help me out since I don’t want to read the book.

    I’m 130 pounds female.
Where did you purchase your pills?
    Does this matter?
How much and for how long should I take vitamin D and K2?

    1. HI the re

you opught to read the book…as if you have autoimmune problems you will be at risk your whole life for all the other autoimmune diseases from MS to lupus to asthma to ibd…. if you don’t suppememnt with d3 the rest of your life…
you also need to look out for dangers such as high dose d3 triggering magnesium deficiency and vitamin k2 deficeincies by taking high dose d3…you can also create long term boron and zinc deficiencies if you dont supplement with all these…but if you weant to fly blind be my guest…

How long should you take d3 and k2? the rest of your life….this is not like an antibiotic it is away to change your immune system…it should cure your psoriaiss in about 3 months or less

the doctor in this article took 50,000 ius per day and his psoriasis was cured after 3 months..but he continues to take it so it doesnt come back..just adjust it for your weight…you can get d3 pills anywhere k2 is harder to find…but you can get pure quality k2 at a cheap price in powder form for $15 a gram way cheaper than the pills..from peter at vitaspace.com
