Anyway thank you very much for your knowledgeable and enlightening information in your books. I can honestly say that they have changed my life in that I was seriously ill with severe obstructive sleep apnoea and several other ailments (including back problems which required an operation) which have been much improved since I was able to get my vitamin D levels up. Unfortunately my GP surgery is most unhappy that my vitamin D levels are “too high”.  I do accept that they are too high as they are >250. However, as a black woman living in the UK, (with very dark skin) I see no better time than during Covid to have a “too high” level of vitamin D.
I almost got caught out because I had been taking 20,000 vitamin D3 daily but somehow did not get the calculation of my vitamin K2 for that amount correct.  There were times when I took my vitamin D3 dosage and then forgot that I had done so and ended up taking it again. At one stage I had run out of vitamin K2 and continued taking the vitamin D3 simply assuming it was better to take it than not.
Eventually I had a situation where I had too much calcium in my blood and my GP’s surgery despite not wanting to help me get my vitamin D levels correct acted as if I was about to drop dead at any moment. I was admitted to hospital urgently and placed on a drip for a couple of days. Since then I have drunk lots of water daily and have not taken any vitamin D since around early March 2020. I am now having regular blood tests which have shown that my calcium levels are now normal and my kidney function is fine but my vitamin D levels have still not reduced to below >250.
I will be aiming to get my levels to remain at about 150 or thereabouts although the GP surgery want me to get down to about 75 (as if that’s going to happen!) anyway can you please confirm the ratio of vitamin K2 that I should take when I’m taking 20,000 vitamin D3 daily. Also is 20,000 vitamin D3 daily sufficient to keep my levels around 150? Should I be taking both kinds of vitamin K2? If so, please confirm the ratio for each kind of K2.

Hi Deleta  thanks for writing  wow that is interesting  I had heard D3  can stop snoring   so you are another case…!!

You lknow they use a different scale ni the UK that is 2.5 times higher than the US…
so 250 over there is 100 ng/ml  over here  the normal reference range in the US is 30ng/ml to 100 ng/ml   and
summer lifeguards here regularly test in the 125 range…..and I know a lady on the UK who needs to keep her blood level at 150 ng/ml
to keep he crohn’s disease from comiong back so as along as your calcium isi in the nronal range you dont have to worry
about your d3 levels they can be as high as you want  just watch the calciuim
for each 10,000 IU  s  of d3 I recommend a minmium of 400 mcg  of the mk7  type of k2  or  2000 of th mk4  type of k2
if you have calcium problems  from d3  (how high was it?)
you shold probably double the dose or even more  you can’t take too much k2 it is non toxic
I took 45,000 mcg  3x   a day for 3 months  to decaclify my veins..nd it seemrd to work
it is much cheapr to buy k2 powder for $15  a gram  vs  pilsll for $6500 agram…
see if OPete at Vitspace.com can send yo some k2 from the US
