Watchful 19 days ago In reply to an earlier post          Shingles   Varicella

I bought this Ebook about a year ago. The high D3 with k2 has been a blessing to me. I only experimented up to 30,000 IU and back down to 20,000 and 10,000 stretching out my vitamins. And when the warm weather came in last year I took a break and stuck with 10,000 and 20,000 IU and the K2. Anyway, recently I have heard that people with low vitamin D were cured from Shingles when administered 50,000 IU for three days. I was wondering if Mr. Bowles heard anything this study and if he has done an up date on his book since last year.

Yes, there is some information on the internet from Bill Sardi where he found his acquaintances who get a shingles outbreak who took 50,000 IU of D3  experienced elimination of pain within one hour. And a few additional days of 50,000 per day knocked it out.

Apparently getting shingles is more likely if your immune system is compromised by low vitamin d3 levels.
While I could not find any latitude data  there is a seasonality to outbreaks and an increase in incidence  during the age of increasing sun avoidance>>
