Hi, thank you for your D3 research and books. I have osteoporosis and I’m wondering if it’s safe to take calcium supplements with 30000-50000 iu of D3? I am taking 5 mg of K2 and also magnesium. I did start mega dosing with D3 on top of magnesium, calcium and K2. I had a blood test and my calcium had slightly increased but was still in the reference range. Of course my D3 was high and my doctor told me to stop D3 and calcium. I did stop both but resumed the D3 after 2 weeks. Some days I’d taken 80000 a day, for about 12 days. My energy levels were incredible! Now I just want to understand if taking calcium with D3 is okay. Thank you for your time and for sharing your knowledge.

HI Janetta

Calcium supplements while taking high dose d3 is NOT recommended  even if you have osteoporosis
have you read my latest book about d3 and its 5 cofactors???  if not you should
the best way to treat osteoporsis  is to take d3 with high dose  k2  maybe  45 mg  a day  you can get cheap pure powder k2 from peter at vitaspace.com 95% cheaper than pills…45mg  =  45,000 mcg   (go to taked3.com)  they used this amount to treat osteoporsis in japan successfully….
you also need to take high doses of magnesium boron and zinc…read my chapter on boron…..doctors find that people who supplment with boron  have bones  so strong they have a hard time sawing through them while operating….you will also hear about the case of an 87 year old woman who fell down a long flight of stairs  -concrete….all bloodied and bruised  and not a single broken bone….
you can buy boron supplements and take about 30 mg  2x a day  they coemn in 3 mg  pills…OR  buy Borax  for your laundry and take 1/8th teaspoon  2x a day  borax is pure boron  many people take it…
magnesium and zinc also play a role in combating osteoporosis….calcium suppemnts  don’t gentreally help  and are bad for you  you get osteoporosis because the calcium is coming out of your bones and taking extra calcium will not put more in your bones You nered the D3 and K2  to tell you body to put calcium in your bones…taking calcium will just calcify your soft tissues…taking extended relase magnesium available from www.lef.org  2 x  a day  is good
